The Glock 48 is a striker-fired, recoil-operated, semi automatic pistol developed by Glock Ges.m.b.H., a well-known Austrian firearms producer. Even though this model was introduced only recently, in 2019, it has already become one of the most popular Glock models. One of the reasons for this is that the G48 is a great balance of size and reliability. It is just big enough to serve as a duty and range gun, but not too big for everyday concealed carry purposes.

The Glock 48 is chambered for the 9x19mm Parabellum, one of the most popular and affordable handgun cartridges. The G 48 comes with a single stack magazine that takes in up to 10+1 rounds of ammo, which is quite rare for single stack handguns. Just like any other Glock pistol, the model 48 is also fully made of polymer. However, unlike most other models, the G48 comes with a silver finished slide. The Glock 48 comes with fixed, white dot front and white square U rear sights.

Due to its size, the Glock 48 works well both as a duty and concealed carry handgun. The overall length of the Glock 48 is 7.28’’ and the pistol’s barrel is 4.17 inch long. These dimensions make the Glock 48 a mid-sized handgun, but still a viable carry option. The pistol works equally well when carried in a concealed or open carry holster. However, OWB and shoulder holsters seem to be the favored carry choice.
